There’s a moment many leaders recognise but rarely talk about out loud: sitting in a boardroom full of people and feeling like there’s no humanity in the room.

I know that moment well. After 20 years in corporate consulting, working globally with Fortune 500 companies and iconic Australian brands, it was the moment that changed everything for me. It’s the moment that led me to found A New Way Forward.

What We Do

A New Way Forward is a leadership development and consulting business. We help leaders navigate one of the most complex challenges of our time: how to make smart, confident decisions about artificial intelligence without losing sight of what makes their organisations truly great, their people.

We work with leaders who are feeling the pressure. The noise around AI is relentless, the expectations are high, and the stakes for business performance and for people’s livelihoods couldn’t be higher. Our role is to bring clarity, compassion, and courage to those decisions.

Why We Exist

In my experience, today’s leaders are under enormous pressure to deliver short-term results, to cut costs, optimise, and automate. And while those imperatives are real, they often come at the expense of something harder to measure but impossible to replace: human potential.

Here’s what I know to be true: you can be financially successful and take care of your people. You can protect your bottom line and create workplaces where humans are genuinely engaged, passionate, and thriving. These are not competing goals, but it takes a different kind of leadership to achieve both.

Artificial intelligence represents both the greatest risk to that vision and the greatest opportunity to make it a reality. The difference lies entirely in how leaders choose to implement it.
